2 from3 with the Ladies.
45 took part
in our annual event today in some of the best weather we have played in for a
while, the greens as was expected were still covered in sand and were very uneven
from the maintenance work of last week but I’m sure that we will see the
benefits from the work in a few weeks time.
Now the not
so good bit, as most of you will be aware the general manager Sean received
many complaints, mainly about the sandwiches that the bread was shall we say
past it’s best, a few of us spoke to Sean after most of you had gone and it was
decided to issue a credit, most of you
will have had an e-mail from Sean stating that you will receive a 50% (£4)
credit into your account, Sean is fully aware that this is just a gesture and
that the kitchen still has work to do, in his words weather
it’s a sandwich or a 3 course meal it has to be of a certain standard.
One more
thing, I did not thank this afternoon the people who helped with the running of
today, Bob Barrow for scrutinizing the cards, Keith & Fran Branchflower for
collecting the money + the raffle and I understand they were helped with this by
a couple of the ladies.
We raised from the raffle £128 which we be divided between Arthritis UK & Clic Sargent,
7 unclaimed raffle
tickets=252-324-504-253-207, these next 2 were in strips= 436 to 440 & 216
to 220 all green tickets.
Again a big
thankyou to all.
All the
winnings will be paid into your account.
