Winter League Final Round
The Winter League
started today in near freezing conditions with 18 temporary rock hard greens,
they did soften up when the sun eventually got through to them.
We will have
the official results soon, but we do know the winners are Gingell & Siabi
with 265pts,
so congratulations to them, the biggest movers today were Forbes & Hackling who moved into the top 5 with a 14pt increase as they had a 30 to discard.

! would like
to thank everyone who took part this year in some rough conditions, there were
23 teams signed up unfortunately we lost one team due to the buggy ban which we
all know has been a major problem, the question has been asked why can’t we use
are own buggies at our own risk but even if it wasn’t damaging the course it
looks like the club still has a duty of care to it’s members and if there was
an accident they still could be liable for letting you out on a dangerous
course. All the members cannot remember such a muddy or as long a buggy ban as
this year.
Talking about the Winter League any comments
about next year, do we do the same format, do we cut it down to say 6 rounds or
any other suggestions for Peter S. F. and the committee to think about.
Many thanks to League Manager Alan Davis for organising the Comp and doing all the Draws again this Year.
The players
highlighted in red played on their own today.
12 birdies today each paying £0.80
per player.

| Roger Davis and Chris Gingell ready for battle as Roger and George need a modest 46 to overturn the lead |

But Roger has other ideas as a 79
would put him in the driving seat....
