Committee and The Rest– 11th March 2016
I must apologise for the
confusion today for which I take full responsibility. Some members marked their
cards as a Medal (including the captain) and some as a Stableford (including
the Scrutineer). Both argued their case vociferously. Although Stableford cards
can be standardised as a Medal card, it was interesting that positions on the
leader board do not necessarily stay the same. Also some interpreted the rule
that the person whose drive is chosen is prevented from taking the next shot
but can come back on the third shot (regardless of where the ball lies) whilst
others take the view that the person whose drive is taken cannot come back into
play until the green is reached. Because
of this, the rules for Limited Hassle will be re-drafted before we play this
format again.
As a result of these factors
(and others) today’s competition is void and your £2.00 entrance fee will be
returned.
For those who are curious
whether they might have won, the best Medal scores were
Danny Dowell/John
Wallis/Malcolm Roy 61 Marked as a Medal
Brian Hodder/Rod
Stevens/Chris Gingell 62 Marked as a
Stableford
However, there were seven 2’s
each paying £1.00

The final round of the Winter
League will be played on Monday 14th March. Because the computer is
set up for 4BBB at 90% of combined handicap and we have continued to apply ¾
for the duration of this competition,
please do not attempt to enter your scores into the computer. Instead, please
leave your cards in the bar.
