Winter League Round 3.
For the
third time of trying we managed to get all 18 holes open and playable. The
course had improved over the last few days but the weather conditions made
playing today particularly testing. There were several no shows for whatever
reason and some who felt that they would rather not venture out; quite
understandable.
Despite all
of that there were some very good scores in with the Vice Captain and partner
J. Mac leading the way with a very creditable 40 points with their playing
partners Rod Young and Bob Hollingworth in second place with 39. Most of the
rest of us were in the lower to mid thirties. The best individual score (team
member away) was again Brian Marsh with 34points followed closely by Stuart
Pope with 31.
If you were
disappointed with today’s score, don’t forget it’s the best six scores to count
from eight rounds. The results and the cumulative totals will be posted on line
under the Winter League heading.
Nobody
played an individual Stableford as far as is known.
Don’t
despair if you missed today, we can all have the opportunity to have another go
next Friday, weather and course permitting. The draw will be done by Monday,
posted online and on our notice board in the locker room.
