Medal
minus Stableford – 23rd November 2015
This type of competition has
proved to be popular but play has been slow. Today the format was slightly
changed in that teams of four played with two playing Medal and two playing
Stableford with the best net score of each pair counting towards the team
score. The theory being that if one of the pair was not going to score, he
should pick up. Making a welcome appearance
at the Seniors rollup was Mike Burt who
played in the star team alongside Bill (I’m not playing well since my op –I
know I’ve won a lot of money) Hilson, Robin Flower and Danny Dowell.
The highlight of the day was
a hole in one on the ninth by Mike and by general agreement, it was decided
that Mike should scoop the birdie pot. What did Sue put in his tea? David
Walgrove gets special mention for his birdie on the 10th, usually a cause for
celebration, but not today.
