Medal minus Stableford  – 28th October 2015

It’s a month since we last played this format and the scores were so much better, although this time there were only 2 birdies compared with 11 in September.

Next year’s club captain returned his card playing off scratch, but the kindly scrutineer, allowed him 15 shots which elevated Steve and his partner from 16th place to 5th, only just out of the money.

Update from Roger Stone, recovering from a new knee:-

Hi Fellas
Just returned from the practice nurse to have the post op dressing removed.
Nurse couldn't believe how well I was recovering, and the fact that the wound had healed so quickly. Really I don't need the crutches any more, but use them just in case for support only. It's really annoying that I am not allowed to drive yet, however I suppose if I did have an accident the insurance company would soon shout out 'no payment' if they knew of my new knee operation.
I keep a look out on the blog to keep up to date with the golfing proceedings etc can't wait to get back into the swing of things, but won't push it.
Regards to all of the lads.

Roger

..and from George Willerton, who is still waiting for his:-
        "ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch"

Those of you who have not yet entered the Winter League should do so as soon as possible. So far, we have 15 pairs entered. Remember, if your partner is not available for a round then you can play off your full handicap. I understand that the 90% rule change for 4BBB does not come into effect until April 2016, so for this competition the ¾ rule will still apply.
