I'm confused how a cemetery can raise its funeral prices and
blame it on the cost of living ?
Also Well-Done Dougie Oliver & Welcome-Back after cardiac surgery - as he finished with 3 straight Pars showing he still has the heart for the game.

Summer Knockout
Keef Hunt takes out Chris Gingell to advance to Semi-Final where he awaits the heavyweight clash between Brent & Gabb..bet Nick wishes he still had his Callaway Rescue Club..
More battles in the Summer KO Pairs
In a fiercely contested clash between Peter -3-names & The Welsh Dragon took out MH & MJ 2 & 1
We were ( noisily) teeing off on 12th as they were on 14th and got a few stares as Martyn sunk a long Putt - and it felt like a 3 from 4 Roll-Up was a lot more fun than the Summer KO- apologies for the disturbance.
Barrie Heath was all alone against Farmer Bob & Jolly Roger as his Partner James Siabi ( Planner, Architect , Organiser, Expediter) - had gone away.
Quarter Finals are Complete
Barrow / Stone v Spencer-Farr / Williams
Gingell / Hildred v Cording / Davis
Fun at Roll-Up as Captain, Vice, Chris , James were all in action elsewhere so it was left to remainder to organise and Mark Kilpatrick to quickly calculate how to make 4-Teams from 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 ( kept changing) - and in a flash said Three 3-balls and Five 4-Balls with a Phantom Pro- Thanks Mark...
Keith on 4th - 2nd shot 175 Yards to edge of Green, 2 putts and 4 Points for the Team... |
John, if it is allowed, could you ask on the blog if anyone would be interested in my Dad's buggy: Grasshopper Classic - It was bought in October 2022 (£3000) and has been used about once or twice a week since then. The batteries were replaced in January 2024 (2x Platinum 75 AH, £588). The tyres are 'as new' with the rubber nobbles still there, but there are marks on the left side of the battery cover where feet have scuffed when getting in and out. It is a bit bigger than most personal buggies. In theory it disassembles to fit in a car but it is a bit fiddly and heavy so would probably have to be stored at the club.
Asking price
£1000.
But there's More
Nick Gabb has a pristine Callaway x-Series 3 Rescue which cost him over £100 and only swiped in anger a handful of times. Slight nicotine stains on grip and burn marks on face... Nick just could not get on with it. He has generously offered proceeds to Captain's Charity . Offers over £25 accepted ..but JKP has already offered £30 (hence the slightly altered description !.) ...believe Alan the Bar Manager is also considering an offer...
