Friday 2nd February
Texas Scramble

Roll-Up Report 02/02/2018 3-Ball Texas Scramble Medal

15 early birds played in the scramble today plus 36 late starters and 1 early bird played in the February Stableford, it was played in a mixture of cloudy & sunny conditions with a keen wind which kept us well wrapped up.

Ben Lewis Joined us today you may have seen him around playing just before us with the Eggs, he played off 28 today but Ben you really need to put 3 cards in to confirm a handicap, so you can then play in the competitions. Plus Steve Holt joined us today his bar account must be getting low.

The January Rolling Stableford was only played by two people so the winner with 39pts which was a good enough score to win most months was Alan Davis who only gets £3 for his efforts.

5 two’s today paying £1:65 per player.

February Rolling Stableford: B. Skeels 37pts.
Bob Rees was in the money once more after a lucrative January. Frankie is on the case, however, as Bob has lost 2 shots and is a creditable 21 handicapper from today.

B. Heath (Capt.)

First event was Dickies Draw where £150 Tickets had been sold.
Clive Fisk won the Dalwhinny Whiskey and John Pearce the Biscuits
No's 132 and 6 were the winning entries.

Shock horror as Mike Hone was up at 07:45...he normally cannot make 08:45
Bob & Chris were drawn with Roy Miller, so Bob immediately destroyed Roy's 2-iron which he had played on Monday

Hot Team on 1st..but note sure if it worked today

Looked good on 10th

Colin was in form today. Bob was moaning about being abused by his new Brummy Neighbours. Bob had built him a beautiful new fence, for free, when the guy complained that it was 6 inches inside the border..several rants later Bob finished with 'He should be careful what he wishes for..."  when silent assassin Colin added ..."Maybe a new Neighbour"

But they did enough to win today, 5 Birdies on the first 9, then bogies on 8th & 9th nearly threw it away.
Steve is not pictured here as he was somewhere in the hedge.
Steve all but drove the 18th to set up an easy Birdie.
