Winter League – 7th March 2016
The penultimate round of the
Winter League saw the leaders not risking anything today but consolidating
their lead. Although conditions were
ideal albeit very chilly, with even the odd snow flurry, scores were generally not as high as in previous
rounds.
Even had Alan Teasdale back with us for the day, a rare honour indeed as he tries to talk Charlie Gammage into coming out with us.

Fairly quiet in the Car Park as Mr Pike and his monster machines have gone and surface is ready for tarmac laying on Tuesday 15th.
Looks like main ingress / egress will be up the road you can see on left and driveway down to 5th will be just to get down there with buggies. Believe they can get 5 rows of cars in the front, with rows going right down to fence of 5th,
The current dynamic duo of
Keith Branchflower and Bill Hilson clearly decided to keep their heads down and
post a moderate score (by their own standards) just squeezed into the top ten.
...even Robin & Martin managed to get together for a round..which is technically different to "getting it together" with their modest 34.
All scores can be seen
under “Winter League” in the headings. The
best scores of the day were :
Clive Fisk and Mike King 44 points
Bob Hollingworth and Rod
Young 42
Roger Stone and John MacOmish 41
Bob White and Alan Chance 38
Bob Barrow and Frank Martin 38
The final round is scheduled
for next Monday 14th March.

The draw for the Committee
and the Rest Limited Hassle to be played on Friday 11th March can be
seen under internal comps.
Dave King and the boys were busy and it was great to see all that semi-rough being cut which is a big improvement.
Pebbles all around fence and path to entrance compacted. Deano is busy with the cladding round the front.
New Path to 1st, 4th and off 18th is currently IN BOUNDS but Dave is Meeting with Pro shortly and expects to move markers to 18th side of path and punish those that dare to push the limits !
