3 from 3 Stableford - Friday 27th November
Few notes from Captain as we nervously went out with heavy clouds looming, but we just about got away with it, but with buggies still banned and Mick, Brian, Geoff & Ted doing their 9-hole special once again.
10 turned up for the earlies, so Tom Downey played Individual - which 'aint a lot different than everyone else as we all played Individual, but in a Team of 3 with all to count. I watched the earlies tee-off to the sound of a clatter as Brian M hit the Starters Hut and bounced OOB, Jerry stepped up to restore order and never made it off the front of the tee..so Fred scored their only point on the First..I have pictures to put up later.
Note 1 from Captain Nick is a reminder about playing your Seniors Subs - £3 might save you from a DQ in a few weeks, as it was today the Tres merely deducted that sum from the Winning Team. Also added Andy Beale's 32 to the Nov Stableford as it had been missed.
We also did the Whisky Draw, which made and excellent £82 profit for the Seniors Funds as the winning number came out...No.12 which was Bob White who picks a large bottle of Malt. Next Month Richard will have a bottle of Brandy up for grabs, so watch out in a week or so when the next raffle starts. Thanks for all the support.
Most of us were wasting out time today as Mike King & Co had already posted a 91 before we had a chance - with Mr Putland coming to the eye of the Handicap Sec as he posted 5 3-pointers on the front 9, with 3 more on the back.
See results below, with usual handicap reductions for winners & 2nd - you may have to look after your own 'Domestic' for a while as Mr MacOmish is having Computer Problems.
Only 3 Birdies scored with Bob White on 4th, which Nobby wanted cancelling as we were on the front tees - until he was reminded that his own birdy on 9th was also from Ladies Tee. Only proper one was Bob Hollingworth on the 17th.

On Monday, Nick has left the Draw with Liam as we will have 54 players going out in Christmas Cracker with the Ladies - so he is attempting a multi-hole start - and will send out the times over weekend. Starts will be from 09:30 onwards - so Roll-Up need to be out before that or risk not getting a slot.£6 Buffett will be served after the round, so tell Nick if you cannot stay for the 'meal' or the money will be wasted.
I've just upgraded to Windows 10, so that delayed me a little tonight, apologies.
I hear George Willerton is having a couple of problem with his new knee as it is a little swollen, so hopefully that will get resolved. When they took the old knee out, the Doctor gave him a right bollocking for the state of his old one. He said 'It looks like you have been bouncing on it from a great height ' - to which Paratrooper George merely smiled !
Nick had to shoot off to drive around the M25 on a Friday Night, so that should be fun as the skies darken and the rain starts - Good luck Captain.
