Two from Three – 2nd November 2016
Fifty four members played in
18 three man teams with two to score Stableford points today. Three teams stood
out from the rest scoring 80 or more points whilst the rest were mainly in the
70’s. The team of Wallis, Frost and Dobson overstated their score by 1 point
and were placed fifth on countback. Similarly Walgrove, Stenhouse and Forbes
were placed third on countback. Keith Branchflower secured his team’s win with
a 2 on the 16th for 4 points allowing them to canter in one point
clear of the field and needing only 3 points on the 18th.
Special mention should go to
Frank Martin who scored 35 points on the 16 holes he contributed to. Clearly
someone should review his handicap.
There were 7 birdies each
paying £3.75 per team.

Winning £17.00 in the October
Rolling Stableford was Frank Martin with 37 points. The runner-up was Trevor
Dobson with 36 points. Trevor wins £8.00.
Big Committee Meeting followed the game, ahead of the AGM on Friday 11th.
One thing that was decided (JKP's fault) was to concede our hold on the Restaurant to allow a long term Club Member to hold the wake for his Wife , booked for 15:00 .
We will hold the AGM in the Marquee, so come prepared !
This will allow the Family to arrive & have some privacy and give the Staff time to set the room up.
