Wednesday 20th July - Canadian Greensomes
Pretty solid roll-up as 32 made it up after yesterday's exhausting round. Another forecast scorcher and Pro Shop runs out of water....with big society arriving at 10:00..seems pretty strange to me but Liam didn't seem to be at all concerned. Not often I moan at facilities, but thought that was a pretty poor show.
Liam's Response:
" please comment bk to your remark
Liam was unconcerned as he had it in hand and the delivery was due 10mins after john was in the shop and was all ok for the big society thanks.
Pro shop ran out of water for a whole 30mins slap my wrist, but mr pearce the gossip was in the shop at that time. ( unlucky me)
rest assured i have 10 cases ready for you so please come and buy buy buy.
Kind Regards
Liam

First Picture of the day as I wandered over to chat to early birds to see martin Bargery out with Martyn Putland... they went to School together in Crewkerne where Martyn was Captain of Seniors Football Team as younger Martin was skipper of the Juniors...but they've never actually played golf together. Pretty handy today and managed a 5th place.
Results below tells all, but Captain George Wallace was there again in 2nd place and must be down to 12 Domestic by Monday...
Game was played in Medal Format, which added a few complications such as Brian Anderson having to walk all the way back on 8th to play another shot. Course was in great conditions with some of the greens extremely slick and no grass at all on shoes or equipment on return.
Robin Flower had a shock on 10th as he was short of green, by L/H bunker...when a ball flew over his head into the rough...but where had it come from.....the 11th Tee where a Left Hander had a massive 'Hook' as it disappeared over the hedge...never seen that before.
Usual Cuts for 1st & 2nd please Andy..

Only other discression was Frankie's socks ...
just never looked right...
Don't forget to ring those birdies on your card, Roger nearly missed one today.
Only one team had double figures today..with a card messing 10 on the 10th.
