CYDER CUP – Round 2
5th October
2016
On day 2 of the 2016 Cyder
Cup, we played 4BBB, and results went down to the wire. It must say something
for the evenness of the pairings. All the results came in, no side was ever
more than one point ahead...apart from in the fashion stakes...
This leaves the teams on 12
points each, so all rests on the remaining singles matches on Friday. Please be
aware that some of the pairings have been amended, so please check the notice
board or the internet before you play.

Payouts
:
All winners will receive
£3.00.
I have removed the list for
the Annual Dinner from the Seniors Notice Board as we are now full.
Nevertheless there have been withdrawals, so I will put up a reserve list.
Please note that very few on the list have indicated their menu choices and I
will replace the list nearer the date, in order that you can select from the
menu. Please consult your partner.
..and if that and Ted's Night (26th) is not enough for you how about the Club GALA Night on Saturday 29th October - another posh do celebrating the end of the 2nd Year of new ownership....anyone fancy making up a table of Seniors for the evening....
..and finally a certain JKP was sought out by the Professional this morning to inform him he had won the £400 Ryder Cup raffle drawn yesterday - which was for a beautiful new £400 Driver. After the game , Roger suggested he swap it in for a selection of £50 putters !!!
..but to share his success, the Gala Dinner table will be adorned with a selection of Red/Rose & White wines to get us off to a good start.
..and finally, how about this for an example... Pictured below is Sir Victor Gane....born in 1929...
Why do I mention this...the first time he has ever had to ride a buggy at Roll-Up in his 87 Year Life....what a man !¬
