Wednesday 13th July - 1,2,3 Sequence

Bowmaker -  13th  July 2016

Today we welcomed John Twose who played his first rollup with Brian Hodder and Barry Singleton and had the added pleasure of playing in the 3rd placed team. Altogether there were thirty seven members at the rollup with the captain playing in the Rolling Stableford.

The results of Bowmakers, when it is necessary for all to score on holes 13-18, are invariably decided on these holes. The winning team led by Clive Fisk scored 45 points.

The captain played in the Rolling Stableford and did not return a score.

I must apologise for the absence of Monday’s report of the Stableford Qualifier. The report was written but somehow got stuck in my outbox.

The results are reported in full on the club web site, but here are the payouts.

Handy player as his score was in the Mid 80's so looks like around 14 Handicap.
Walked round with only a half-set so just think how good he will be after Christmas.

Welcome to The Seniors John.

Can you identify the idiot behind him ?

Nice new Prov1 for first correct answer.

Another issue cropped up the other day on 12th, in the crater where the puddle sits. A Member was not given relief by a colleague because he was not standing in the water despite the ball being smack in the middle of the puddle and heaving with flies, so his lovely mate made him play it where it lay.
See attached Video which explains rule 25
The rule basically provides relief to a player when his ball lies in or touches the area of casual water. Relief is also available if the casual water interferes with a player's stance or the area of his intended swing.

There is no Roll-Up on Monday 18th, as the Ladies have a Championship, but Ray Gudge has 2 free places for The Dorset on Monday, around 11:00 if you'd wish to join him
