Friday 1st July & Saturday 2nd
Hopefully you've all seen the Qualifier Result, which was sent by email from Liam.
I'll hold off publicising here until I hear from Captain or Treasurer so that there is not conflict as I think order may be shuffled du to problem with card entry...Stuart again of course.
I've been asked to remind you about 5-minute rule for looking for your ball, which has become more poignant since the rough has grown up. Remember to make sure you know where your ball is before you look for anyone else's - The Captain has written several notes on this on recent months and is a hard and fast Golf Rule which must be obeyed.

So at 04:00 the alarm clocks were going off for 8 of your colleagues as 80 Golfers took up the Midsummer Madness challenge which Steve Holt had shifted from June 21st to July 2nd as he is still Chief Druid at Stonehenge and was busy on the correct day.
I'll let the pictures paint the story, which were pretty dramatic as the Sun was just emerging and the ground was saturated, All the Greens were untouched which made putting a lottery.
The format is a 4-man team. Two Play 4bbb Medal, 2 Stableford. You then subtract the lower score from the higher one and have your grand total.
A Decent (Par) Score would be 70 for the Medal, minus 36 Points for the Stableford, remember we are only getting 90% Handicap - so 34 is your Target.
The A Team scored a rock solid 35 .
The B Team scored a very fair 41.
..as we left, scores of 20 and below were coming in..so where the hell we were supposed to find another 15 shots I do not know. As usual, being a Club Competition, I doubt if any results will ever be published.
We All Teed off at 05:30 as the Shotgun Sounded. Nobby & Co on the 6th, farmer Bob on the 8th.
..and this was the scene...
Peter, Bob & Mike - Many thanks for answering the call, all Peter kept talking about was Breakfast !
The Sun was Blinding
![]() |
Bob launching at 10th Green..wherever it is...
Mike in hitting 14th where himself and Pete had a run of 5 consecutive 3-pointers

Well done to Nobby for organising his Team, Bryan and the Blue Mac looking ominously close to the dreaded OOB....
sorry we stole Peter off of you !
At 09:15 The A Team had finished Golf for the Day. First in of Everybody !
magnificent breakfast of Sausages, Bacon, Beans, Hash Brown, Fried Bread, Eggs, Tomatoes and lashings of fresh ground coffee from eastern Columbia, - Pete S-Farr was purring quietly in the corner as he'd managed to swap his Egg for an extra Sausage.
The Younger Players stayed out as they were competing in a Charity effort for MacMillan to play 4-Rounds in a Day....good luck with that boys..
Well done to the Seniors for supporting the Club Captain on his event. There were plenty of Ladies out there too.
Captain was unable to play as he was still recovering from the trauma of his NR on Friday as he failed to exit the bunker on 18th after his ball went into a mysterious foot-deep hole.....
..just kidding ! - apparently Danny's 9 on 18th was caused by hitting a large rock hidden in the sand that took a chunk out of his favourite sand iron and ruined his round.
