3 man Stableford -  22nd   July 2016

Another warm day and there were 48 members playing today. With all scores to count and all cards entered into the computer, this was to assist our Handicap Secretary, Frank Martin to assess/revise individual handicaps. There were many who scored 36 points, but the best today were Kevin Graves with 39 points, followed by Bob Barrow (38) and Des Denning (37) - with 5 of those coming from his Eagle 3 on the 4th.

Downfalls of Teams could be seen with the Marsh Waders getting ZERO on 14th, and joined at that level were Potter's Paddlers on the 17th.
Consistency was the key with plenty of 9 point holes around, but Roger's Trio went from 2 points on 12th to 10 points on the 13th - must have been some Team Talk !

Farmer Bob & the Irish Wanderers never had a 10, put never once dipped below 4 points on a hole, as Mr Punch on Lyme Beach would say "That's the way to do it !"

The winning team of John Wandless, Bob Barrow and Colin Ireland with a combined total of 108 points were 8 points clear of the second placed team.

There were 12 birdies, paying £0.65 per birdie per person.

The winners will be cut 2 shots and the runners up 1 shot.

The home fixture against Axe Cliff will be re-scheduled as one prominent member of Axe Cliff has passed away and many of their team will be at his funeral. I will put up another list when the revised date has been confirmed and will contact those who had expressed an interest in playing.

The next rollup is on Monday 25th July when the format will be a 3-man Limited Hassle. There will also be a home inter club fixture against Taunton and Pickeridge.
