Wednesday 23rd November
3-2-1 Waltz on Holes
After a weekend of bad weather, Snow on Friday rain all weekend , course closed on Monday ,it was nice to see 43 players out on the fairways again today. Buggies were banned so that meant that 4 players wandered around the top 9 holes playing their own individual competition. 33players played a 3-2-1- Stableford  (waltz), the remaining 6 players ventured into the realms of the Rolling Stableford.
we didn't get away scot free....but tree has already been removed.

The Scrutineer was hard at work today, saving the Captain's team from marking an incorrect Stableford score and he found that they should have had 1 more point than that they had recorded. So you see Bob does have compassion, and doesn’t always DQ Teams. With his wary eye it sometimes goes the other way, unfortunately his act of kindness meant that his team came 4th with no pay out.

I was reminded by Colin Ireland this morning that they in fact finished the course in the snow on Friday, however no mention was made in my Friday's report. Never mind Colin, I can add today, that your team managed to finish LAST!!!!   In todays competition.

Frankie and his Team tried very hard....but were content just to keep Farmer Bob off the winning sheet...

Six players played the Rolling Stableford: B.HEATH 39pts, T.RUTHERFORD 37pts

B.REES 35pts, S.POPE 30pts, N.CLARKE 29pts, C.FISK 29pts.

Remember that Friday is a re run of the 2nd round of the Winter League, those not playing  this will be your last chance this month to enter the Rolling Stableford.

Gentlemen,

For those not playing in the CHRISTMAS CRACKER next Monday 28th November, there is no other organised Roll Up competition organised. Treat it as a mates day and those of you that turn up I ask that you please organise something between you, dependant of how many turn up early.

Additionally, the Christmas Cracker will be starting, using the first FIVE TEES, therefore I ask that you please start your round at the 6th Hole, then play through to the 18th and then if you wish, follow on to the 1st and play out to the 5th to complete your 18 hole round.

Your help in this once a year situation is appreciated.

Many Thanks

Roger Stone       Seniors Captain
