Friday 18th November Winter league
The Pictures below will tell you how quickly things changed as it was not too bad to start with, cold and rainy as 48 were scheduled to play, but gaps soon opened up as we lost Mike King, Jerry Stephens, Clive Fisk, Quinny, Chris Gingell, Martin Leigh, Billy (hurt) Keith ( no way !) etc many of whom were just unavailable on the day.

Clubhouse chat was very high brow as we watched Alistair Cook's wicket in India which spilt the stumps into splinters, only for Geoff to 'black-cat' that with "You should have seen Fred Truman at the Oval in 1958 he broke all 3 wickets" - which Norman immediately Googled to discover that Fred Truman's Son married Raquel Welch's Daughter...and so it went on.

All were back in by 11 oclock with some of the bravest reaching 12th and Captain Roger wished to congratulate all of those that stuck It out as some of the largest snow flakes ever seen this side of the Nagasaki foothills  fell upon us and covered the ground and greens in a few minutes as shown below.

Round II is thus cancelled and will resume (same Tee-Times) on Friday 25th - using Money already paid.

Committee getting nagged for fixture cards, with Mr Frost taking it to another level,  saying.."I paid my money and then they ran out of cards, I wouldn't have minded, but we'd only just voted that lot in !"....so the Committee had a lucky escape. There were in fact 50 Fixture cards available, but only 20 folded up, Keith didn't realise there were another 30 available in folder, but they will be available at all Future Roll-Ups.
Phone List is being updated and will also be available very soon.

but who is it under the Laurel Bush !

Think the Brian Marsh Foursome was still out there....

This was from the Clubhouse balcony !!!!
